The sensorsrv.exe file is a process that is part of the application ASUS SmartLogon from ASUS. The ASUS SmartLogon is a program that allows a user to logon to his or her computer through facial recognition. The main function of this application is to detect the face of the user and enables him or her to logon. A user has to initially register his or her face and have it saved, so the next time he or she tries to logon, he or she only needs to let the system detect the face to automatically logon. Other than that, this application has the ability to replace the default welcome screen, like of the Windows XP computer into the welcome screen of a Windows Vista. As part of the SmartLogon program, the sensorsrv.exe file has an essential role to make the task of the application functional. When the program is installed in the computer system, the file is located in the folder C:\Program Files, or to be more specific, C:\Program Files\asus\smartlogon folder. The sensorsrv.exe process is an executable file, and digitally signed by ASUSTeK Computer Inc., VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sensorsrv.exe. is used by ASUS SmartLogon, If you shut down sensorsrv.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sensorsrv.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ASUS SmartLogon, from your system.
