The sdlservice.exe process is an executable file included with the system drivers, program files and DLL modules that are used and referenced by the Smart Dual LAN software, which is a component packaged with the firmware and driver software resources of certain computer motherboards that are integrated with Realtek dual LAN ports. This means the sdlservice.exe process is bundled with the installer distributions of these motherboard firmware and driver software components or associated Realtek dual LAN port firmware and driver software resources. This also means the sdlservice.exe process is installed in the system upon the installation of these firmware and driver software distributions. The sdlservice.exe process is specifically deployed as one of the main components of the SDLService module, which is an applet built into these supported motherboard and Realtek dual LAN port driver software components and firmware resources.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. sdlservice.exe. is used by SDLService Module, If you shut down sdlservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop sdlservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SDLService Module, from your system.
