The process res.exe is integrated to the USB Storage Toolbox or specifically to the software Ali USB1 as developed by Ali. The process file has been installed with several other USB hard drives. It runs in the system upon initialization and displays features for the utilization of the user. Res.exe is responsible for a specific hardware in the system. It provides the user more options and support in configuring this specific hardware. Universal Serial Bus or USB defines the cables, connectors and communication protocols used in a bus to attach computers to electronic devices for communication and power supply. USB is a tool to standardize the connection of computer periphals to the computer. It has replaced serial and parallel ports. A USB Toolbox, on the other hand, combines different utilities in a standalone program that can be executed from a USB Drive. It involves an interface consisting of a calendar, notepad, file explorer, ToDo list, among others.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. res.exe. is used by Ali USB1, If you shut down res.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop res.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Ali USB1, from your system.
