The psngive.exe file is an executable component process integrated with other modular resources, program files and system drivers that are required by the Post-it Software Notes program, which is an application classified as a productivity program designed by 3M with a set of integrated features for conveniently creating reminders and notes. The Post-it Software Notes application is embedded with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows. The psngive.exe process is included in the installer distribution packages of the Post-it Software Notes application, which also means the psngive.exe process is installed in the system upon the installation of the Post-it Software Notes program. The psngive.exe process is placed in the same application folder where the program files and modular components of the Post-it Software Notes program were installed, which is usually in a sub directory under the Program Files directory of the system partition.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. psngive.exe. is used by 3M Post-it Software Notes and 3M Post-it Software Notes Lite, If you shut down psngive.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop psngive.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is 3M Post-it Software Notes and 3M Post-it Software Notes Lite, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
