What is  ppscanmg.exe

The ppscanmg.exe process is an executable component file implemented with other system driver components, modular resources and program files that are used and referenced by the ScanSoft PaperPort software, which is a program classified as a digital document scanning program from Nuance Communications. The ppscanmg.exe process is packaged with the installer distributions of the ScanSoft PaperPort software, which also means the ppscanmg.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation of the ScanSoft PaperPort application. The ppscanmg.exe process is normally stored in the same application folder where the ScanSoft PaperPort software was installed, which is usually a sub directory under the Program Files directory of the system partition. The ppscanmg.exe process is specifically deployed as the PaperPort Scan Manager module, which is an applet that is built into the ScanSoft PaperPort software. When the ScanSoft PaperPort application needs to load the PaperPort Scan Manager module unto the system, it activates the ppscanmg.exe process, which in turn calls other associated program files and references modular resources in order to implement the functionalities of the PaperPort Scan Manager module into the system upon system and user request.
