The file pm.exe belongs to the process Powermarks from Kaylon Technologies Inc. Powermarks is a bookmark manager for use with Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and Opera. This application enables users to avoid the folder hierarchy system and still create, find, and browse large collections of bookmarks. It offers a browser integrated toolbar, and right-button mouse menus for fast launching of URLs, an intelligent Web page status checking, and proxy and HTTP 1.1 support. The main window Of Powermarks displays all of the bookmarks in a configurable-sorted list that shows keywords, bookmark names, notes, and URLs. Its features include synchronization with browser bookmarks, flexible import and export capabilities, macro, undo, autosave, global hotkey features, and copy and paste. Two configurable tray icons enable the program to integrate well with the browser for navigating to select URLs and adding bookmarks. This software can export bookmark lists in different formats.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pm.exe. is used by Powermarks, If you shut down pm.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pm.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Powermarks, from your system.
