The process plauto.exe is known as Watcher for Photo Loader that belongs to the software Photo Loader from CASIO Computer Co., Ltd. It is located in a subfolder of C:\Program Files, and has a visible window and an icon that can be used to launch the application. The icon appears on the taskbar near the clock. The executable file plauto.exe launches the supervisory task that monitors devices connected to the computer. Once a Casio digital camera is connected, the application Photo Loader is launched. Photo Loader enables users to download photos from the camera to the PC for viewing and sorting. Photo Loader is designed for Casio digital cameras with USB connections for copying of audio, picture, and video files from the camera to the computer. It organizes the files into an HTML library that can be displayed by the system's default browser. It can load JPEG, WAV, and AVI files, and organize loaded files into the library according to the date each file was created. It can manage high volume image data as library for easy reference by the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. plauto.exe. is used by Photo Loader, If you shut down plauto.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop plauto.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Photo Loader, from your system.
