What is  pgptray.exe

The pgptray.exe file is included in the Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) Desktop. It has been developed by PGP Corporation. It has several icons created for PGP programs which specifically deal with encryption, cryptography and key management. With pgptray.exe, the user will be able to access the different applications of the PGP suite through the icons that are displayed in the desktop tray. These icons will activate programs using a specific encryption and decryption functionalities. There is also a provision of an interface in the desktop tray file. This interface can change the different control settings and adjust the capabilities for PGP programs. PGP is a known provider of a good number of applications which always highlight their ability to encrypt and decrypt files and documents. Files and documents are encrypted and decrypted mainly due to privacy reasons. Aside from PGP Desktop, the company has developed similar programs such as PGP NetShare, PGP Command Line and PGP Whole Disk Encryption.
