What is  pdvd8serv.exe

The pdvd8serv.exe process is a type of executable module that pertains to PowerDVD RC Service, and a component of a certain version of PowerDVD, which is CyberLink PowerDVD version 8, a software product created by CyberLink. Also known by the names CyberLink PowerDVD8 and PowerDVD RC Service, or simply PowerDVD, CyberLink PowerDVD is a type of program that lets a user have a control with his or her DVD drive or Blu-ray disc drive. This makes it easier for him or her to operate watching movies on DVDs, burning videos, etc. The module pdvd8serv.exe is bundled with it to perform a specific and important task that enables PowerDVD to be remotely controlled by the user. If a user prefers that, he or she needs to make sure the file process is running in the background. This means that the file has to remain stored on its location on the computer and be kept running on the system, unless the user wants to uninstall the program, because he or she finds it unnecessary anymore.
