The file pavfnsrv.exe, also called Panda Function Service, is the Windows process part of the application called the Panda Antivirus Software or Panda Titanium Antivirus from Panda Software. This is an executable file, the location of which varies in different Windows versions and languages. The file pavfnsvr.exe runs in the Task Manager as a background Windows service called PAVFNSVR (Panda Function Service). The antivirus software Panda Titanium Antivirus to which this executable file belongs to is a cloud-based application that scans the files a remote server without using the processing power of the user's machine. The scan technology employed to protect users against Internet-bound threats and malware such as trojans and spyware is based on a tool called UltraFast scan engine. This scan engine is 30% faster than its predecessor and provides better scanning efficiency through a feature known as SmartClean technology. This technology is capable of performing disinfection of affected files, and at the same time restores settings damaged by trojans and other malware. A feature that provides automatic updates to the system that transparently updates the virus signature file when the user connects to the Internet strengthens the efficiency of the Panda Titanium Antivirus.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pavfnsvr.exe. is used by Panda Antivirus Titanium, If you shut down pavfnsvr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pavfnsvr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Panda Antivirus Titanium, from your system.
