What is  pacsptisvr.exe

The pacsptisvr.exe process is an executable component file included in the required system drivers, firmware and driver software distributions of certain Sony VAIO laptop models, Sony desktops and other devices from Sony. The pacsptisvr.exe process has also been reported to be packaged with certain Sony applications like Sony SonicStage and Sony Cybershot Viewer. The pacsptisvr.exe file is specifically built into the OpenMG Secure module that is implemented into these Sony firmware resources, driver software components and bundled Sony applications. The PACSPTISVR module has also been reported to deploy the pacsptisvr.exe file as its executable application dispatcher process. The pacsptisvr.exe process is normally found in the same application folder where the bundled Sony applications were installed in the system, or in the same folder where the Sony firmware and driver software components were placed during the installation process.

How can I stop pacsptisvr.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. pacsptisvr.exe. is used by OpenMG Secure Module and PACSPTISVR Module, If you shut down pacsptisvr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop pacsptisvr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is OpenMG Secure Module and PACSPTISVR Module, from your system.
