The npchrome_frame.dll file is deployed as one of the modular files used and referenced by the Google Chrome software, which is a Web browser application from Google that is implemented with a set of functionalities for accessing Internet resources, checking emails, downloading and sharing files among other Web-related activities. Upon activation of the Chrome Frame add-on, the Google Chrome software references the content stored in the npchrome_frame.dll module, in order to load the Chrome Frame plugin and implement its features into the Google Chrome Web browser and the system. The npchrome_frame.dll file contains source code that is embedded with program logic compilation specifications and encoded with data compression standards that are normally implemented into content stored in the DLL file format, and this source code is referenced by the Google Chrome application wheenever it needs to perform the requested operations of the user that correspond to the functionalities of the Chrome Frame plugin.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. npchrome_frame.dll. is used by Google Chrome Frame and Google Chrome, If you shut down npchrome_frame.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
