What is  net.exe

Net Command is the other name of the file net.exe which belongs to the Microsoft Operating System. This file is used in the Windows Messenger Service (not the Windows Live Messenger). This is a service which enables the domain and networks to communicate with the existing servers. The file can be usually found in the C:\Windows\System32 and has the known file size of 48,128 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). But the size may vary when used in different version of Operating System such as the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file does not belong to the Windows core system file, but belongs to the trusted file of the Microsoft Windows Operating system (Verisigned file). A versigned file is not recommended to be removed by the user in the Personal Computer (PC). However, the user may have the option to remove the file by removing the entire program in which the file is bundled with (Net Command). This can be done by the use of the Add/Remove Program utility situated in the Control Panel of the Microsoft Windows Operating System.
