The process called as msoidsvcm.exe is an instance of an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the program labeled as Microsoft CoReXT, or Windows Live ID, which is developed by Microsoft Corporation. The software product that houses the msoidsvcm.exe file is formerly called as Microsoft Passport, which is a service that is designed to allow a user use a single email address and password to sign into the different websites of Microsoft and its services, including partners associated with it, including MSN Messenger, MSN Hotmail and MSN Music. The msoidsvcm.exe file is created by Microsoft Corporation, so it certainly works with versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,which include later versions, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. msoidsvcm.exe. is used by Microsoft CoReXT or Windows Live ID, If you shut down msoidsvcm.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop msoidsvcm.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Microsoft CoReXT or Windows Live ID, from your system.
