What is  motivesb.exe

The file motivesb.exe is not part of Windows, but is instead installed through a CD installer given to customers, by various broadband Internet Service Providers. The file performs a variety of tasks, but its main function is to troubleshoot connection issues, configuration problems, and basically, try to resolve service issues automatically. However, some users found the file to be a security risk where their privacy is concerned, because the file was found to communicate with the service provider the user’s browsing activity, and most of the time without the user’s knowledge or approval. There have also been reports of computer freezes, and in some instances, reboots without being prompted by the user. A “kernel 32” error has also been encountered on several occasions, specifically during the startup process. In view of this, a good number of users choose to disable the process to avoid system issues. The process name of the file is Motive SmartBridge.
