The file motivesb.exe is not part of Windows, but is instead installed through a CD installer given to customers, by various broadband Internet Service Providers. The file performs a variety of tasks, but its main function is to troubleshoot connection issues, configuration problems, and basically, try to resolve service issues automatically. However, some users found the file to be a security risk where their privacy is concerned, because the file was found to communicate with the service provider the user’s browsing activity, and most of the time without the user’s knowledge or approval.
