The mediadetector.exe process is an executable program file that is implemented into the BlazeDVD software, which is a multimedia application embedded with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows. The BlazeDVD program is classified as a DVD player application that was developed with a set of features for providing users with Dolby video and audio playback quality and multiregion support among other functions. The mediadetector.exe process is deployed by the BlazeDVD software for integrating its embedded DVD media detection technology into the Windows-based system, and this file is placed in the system upon the installation of the BlazeDVD program, which also means the mediadetector.exe process is integrated into the installer distribution packages of the BlazeDVD software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. mediadetector.exe. is used by BlazeDVD, If you shut down mediadetector.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop mediadetector.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is BlazeDVD, from your system.
