The executable mcscript_inuse.exe is a relevant file of the various McAfee Antivirus programs. The file’s process name is McAfee Script Engine, and is part of McAfee Common Framework. The file enables the Common Management Agent deployment process to execute and accomplish its task without locking files in use. It has a standard file installation folder of C:\Program Files\Network Associates\Common Framework\mcscript_inuse.exe. Users do not suggest removing the file from the system or disabling it, because a number of McAfee AV programs rely on the file to execute some of its applications. By default, applications associated with antivirus programs are configured to launch each time the computer boots. The file that is most compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems has an approximate size of 294,967 bytes. You may also find it in a file size of 939,328 bytes. The file was reported to hog CPU time. Users usually work on the issue rather than resort to disabling or deleting the file, because users consider the file as an essential file for the McAfee AV program.
