Supplies Monitor is the service name given for the process lxsupmon.exe, which is a type of an executable or EXE file, and is a part of the software product labeled as Lexmark Supplies Monitor, which is developed by Lexmark International, Inc., or simply Lexmark. What the lxsupmon.exe file does is to place an easy access icon on the tray bar, and also enable the Lexmark printing device to be configured, diagnosed and maintained. Like other modules, the lxsupmon.exe file is installable in versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, sometimes also called as Windows operating systems, or the most commonly term Windows OS, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME. Whatever the Windows OS used, the lxsupmon.exe file needs to remain running in the background of the computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lxsupmon.exe. is used by Lexmark Supplies Monitor or Lexmark Printers, If you shut down lxsupmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lxsupmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Lexmark Supplies Monitor or Lexmark Printers, from your system.
