The lucomserver.exe process is associated with the program files and modules of the Symantec AntiVirus software, which is a program that is classified as a system security application implemented with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows systems. The lucomserver.exe process is an executable file that is specifically bundled with the LiveUpdate applet of the Symantec AntiVirus program, which is a small application that is responsible for finding available software upgrades and new or updated virus definitions that can be added to the virus definitions database of the Symantec AntiVirus application. This means the Symantec AntiVirus software activates the LiveUpdate applet during program runtime or when the user requests for access to the software update feature of the Symantec AntiVirus application. The LiveUpdate may then execute the lucomserver.exe process in order to load its complete set of functionalities unto the Symantec AntiVirus software and integrate its features into the system.
