Otherwise known as LogWatNT, the logwatnt.exe file is a part of software made by Computer Associates International, called Computer Associates LogWatNT, also named as CA LogWatNT, Event Log Watch, or Data Transport Service. LogWatNT is basically a component of an active patch, which is a program used to correct errors and memory leaks of any products that pertain to Unicenter, also made by the same company. It is a file process that helps reduce PC memory loss, provide updates, and protect the computer from viruses and spyware. As a software component, the logwatnt.exe file runs in the background when the program is launched or started. It processes itself to do the primary task and automatically corrects any error or leak found. This means that the file logwatnt.exe is a very important part of the application. It has to remain stored on the computer and kept running in the background, unless the user needs to uninstall the software associated with it.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. logwatnt.exe. is used by Computer Associates LogWatNT, If you shut down logwatnt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop logwatnt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Computer Associates LogWatNT, from your system.
