The listener.exe process is also known as the VaioCare Window Listener Application and it was created by the Sony of America Corporation. It belongs to VaioCare Sample Collector Service. It is an executable file and digitally signed from Sony Corporation; it is an important part of the computer system. It runs within the background of the Windows service, alongside running as a SYSTEM account. This file contains necessary privileges on a user’s local computer system, and then acts as the computer on the network. This process is considered to be especially useful for the computer system. This executable file will run a user’s executable to act as a service. This file can be executed directly, though there may be the potential that it may cause some errors, depending on how the process is executed. This process is considered safe by the users, and does not pose any threats from malicious contents. It should not be removed from the computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. listener.exe. is used by VaioCare Window Listener, If you shut down listener.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
