The linksysagent.exe is an agent of the Linksys Easy Link Advisor (LELA) and is a non-system process. It appears automatically during system start-up and is associated with Lynksis cards and routers. The file contains a digital signature, which is a mathematical scheme that demonstrates its authenticity. It is also a VeriSign signed file meaning it is free from malicious code and provides users with the assurance that the network that they use is secure. LELA, the associated software, is an application from Linksys that is designed to help users manage the functions of an advanced wireless router. Linksys routers and cards simplify the wireless network system installation, monitoring and management. After installing and configuring the Linksys router, LELA can be downloaded to platforms supported by Windows operating system. Tutorials are also provided in the application to familiarize users with the network systems and applications.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. linksysagent.exe. is used by Linksys Easy Link Advisor, If you shut down linksysagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop linksysagent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Linksys Easy Link Advisor, from your system.
