The licensevalidator.exe process is an executable file that has been reported to be a variant of the Trojan.Gataka.D application, which is a possible malicious program as claimed by some user reports. The licensevalidator.exe process also has other variants that have been reported to be different types of Trojans and worms, and some users also reported spyware-like activity in their systems after being infected with other variants of the licensevalidator.exe process. A few users claimed that the licensevalidator.exe file initializes during system startup and actively runs in the background during system runtime. The licensevalidator.exe process has also been reported to be capable of requesting access from the system to initiate downloading processes for other malicious applications that can collect data from Web browsers installed in the system and from other files and folders stored in connected data storage devices. Some users stated that the licensevalidator.exe process is also integrated with functionalities that can allow it and the malicious programs it downloads unto the system to transmit the collected data to predesignated Web servers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. licensevalidator.exe. is used by Trojan.Gataka.D, If you shut down licensevalidator.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop licensevalidator.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan.Gataka.D, from your system.
