The lhidusb.sys file is a system driver process that is used and referenced by Microsoft Windows and the Logitech USB Receiver Device Driver module, which is an applet built into the firmware components and driver software utilities of certain Logitech USB mouse devices. The lhidusb.sys process is also known as the Logitech USB Mouse Function Driver process and is distributed alongside other SYS driver utilities, certain executable program files, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, particular background process items and various components that are used and referenced by the associated Logitech USB mouse driver software distributions and firmware utilities. This also means the lhidusb.sys file and these components are installed in the system upon the installation of these associated firmware and driver software applications, and are also integrated into the installer distribution packages of these Logitech USB mouse drivers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. lhidusb.sys. is used by Logitech USB Receiver Device Driver Module and Logitech USB Mouse Function Driver Module, If you shut down lhidusb.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop lhidusb.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Logitech USB Receiver Device Driver Module and Logitech USB Mouse Function Driver Module, from your system.
