Cisco Security Agent Component, or CSA Component, is the service name of the file leventmgr.exe, and a part of the program Cisco Security Agent, which is developed by Cisco Systems, originally by Okena, once known as StormWatch Agent. Cisco Security Agent is a kind of security software that features a combination of zero-update attach protection, signature-based antivirus, and data loss prevention in a single agent, which overall protect the computer system, its hardware and software, as well as servers, against malicious threats and dangerous files. Because the software is a very important PC tool, leventmgr.exe is considered to be essential, and recommended to keep stored on its folder location, particularly in C:\Program Files, and must remain active in the background. Terminating or stopping leventmgr.exe may disable the program, or a particular function, but unless it is causing problems within the computer system, this process must continue to run in the background.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. leventmgr.exe. is used by Cisco Security Agent, If you shut down leventmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop leventmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Cisco Security Agent, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Cisco Security Agent, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message.
