The launch_cc.exe process is an executable application resource file that is used by the Alienware On-Screen Display software, which is an applet built into the firmware distributions and device driver software packages of certain Alienware display devices. This means the launch_cc.exe file is distributed alongside certain SYS driver utilities, other executable program files, some modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files, specific background process items and various components that are used and referenced by the Alienware On-Screen Display software for implementing the display functionalities of the associated Alienware display device into the Windows-based system. The launch_cc.exe file and these other component resources are placed in the system upon the installation of the corresponding Alienware device driver software components and firmware distributions, which also means the launch_cc.exe file is integrated into the device driver software and firmware installer packages of these Alienware display devices. The launch_cc.exe process is also known as Launch_CC.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. launch_cc.exe. is used by Alienware On-Screen Display and Alienware Launch_CC Module, If you shut down launch_cc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop launch_cc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Alienware On-Screen Display and Alienware Launch_CC Module, from your system.
