Owned by Corel Corporation, iviregmgr.exe is the process file for InterVideo Registration Manager, a registration reminder service for the WinDVD player, a service that is bundled with newly-purchased computers. It enables the user to view, play DVDs, and record TV and/or MPEG video files as well as save the files to the local hard drive and DVDs. It is also as commercial video and audio player application for Microsoft Windows. The WinDVD player is also able to play video and audio files using other formats that are encoded in varied codecs such as DivX or Xvid, Media Video, MP3 and the AAC audio. The newer versions support Blu-ray Disc and High-Dwfinition DVD playback with menus and CPRM DRM support. The general features of this program are: support for playback and creation of audio and video playlists in CD, VCD, DVD, SVCD formats. It has a Movie Encyclopedia, a movie database where the user can view details about movies such as actors, directors, and other information.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. iviregmgr.exe. is used by InterVideo Registration Manager, If you shut down iviregmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop iviregmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is InterVideo Registration Manager, from your system.
