Check Point Software Technologies is manufacturing the software ZoneAlarm ForceField or FreeCompressor. Once the user installs this software, the iswmgr.exe file is loaded at the same time in the computer system. ZoneAlarm Forcefield utilizes the functionalities of virtualization, online download scanning and DNS validation services for protection of web browsing sessions. The iswmgr.exe process enables the ZoneAlarm Forcefield software to create a shadow file system placing all downloaded and installed files in a separate location. Since malicious files are downloaded and installed into the computer, they can be isolated in a temporary area and the user can be able delete them permanently. Iswmgr.exe also helps the user to choose correct surfing and downloading decisions. The browser toolbar displays the data. From these data, the user can see how the downloaded files are assessed in terms of their threat level. The process file can also identify potential threats and offers malware scans of data downloads.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. iswmgr.exe. is used by ZoneAlarm ForceField, If you shut down iswmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop iswmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ZoneAlarm ForceField, from your system.
