IS Service is the term used for the process issvc.exe, which is an instance of an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the software product branded as Norton Internet Security (version 2005) or Symantec Client Security or Norton Personal Firewall (version 2005) or IDAutomation.com Code (version 128) or Command & Conquer Red Alert (version 2) or Internet Security, which is developed by Symantec. Basically, the issvc.exe file is a component of a security program, which helps detect, block and delete viruses, worms, Trojan horses, spyware, and other threats of a computer. Because of this function, issvc.exe is an essential file that must not be terminated, and rather kept running in the system. Like most modules, issvc.exe is digitally signed from Symantec Corporation - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer, and compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003
