What is  indexer.exe

Indexer Module is the service name of the process indexer.exe, a type of an executable or EXE file, and is a component of the software product branded as Sharpdesk or Desktop Document Manager, which is developed by SHARP CORPORATION. The indexer.exe file is installed onto the computer, during the download process of the program that houses it, and as a component, it has to remain running in the background, to enable its function, and not to terminate it, unless it is infected by computer virus, or causing problems that affect the system performance. Furthermore, the indexer.exe file works in certain versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, otherwise known as Windows operating systems, or simply Windows OS, which include new or later versions, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. indexer.exe. is used by Sharpdesk or Desktop Document Manager, If you shut down indexer.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop indexer.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sharpdesk or Desktop Document Manager, from your system.
