It takes over and accelerates downloads while automatically checking files with antivirus tools to ensure that the downloaded files are free from viruses and trojans. IDM downloads all required files that are specified with filters from Web sites, including Web site spider and grabber. Users of this application can customize the interface and select buttons, order, and columns to appear in the main IDM window. IDM supports main authentication protocols like Basic, NTLM, Keberos and Negotiate, which enables the user to access many Internet and proxy servers using login name and password. The supported proxy servers include Microsoft ISA and FTP.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. idmiecc.dll. is used by Internet Download Manager Module, If you shut down idmiecc.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
