What is  idle.dll

The idle.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module, which means this file can be simultaneously referenced and used by multiple programs that require the program logic data stored in the idle.dll file to perform its intended operations. The idle.dll file is bundled with other program files and modules that are used by the Yahoo! Messenger program. The content of the idle.dll module includes application directives, modular system resource references and program-specific module instructions that are referenced by the Yahoo! Messenger application whenever an online contact in the user's contact list has remained idle for a given time, thereby prompting the Yahoo! Messenger to place an idle message beside the name of the contact. Yahoo! Messenger is an IM (Instant Messaging) tool that is integrated with text and voice chatting functionalities, file sharing features, video conferencing options and so on. The idle.dll module is normally placed in the same folder that was created by the system when the Yahoo! Messenger software was installed, which is usually a sub directory under the Program Files directory of the system partition.
