What is  iau1.exe

Many users identified the iau1.exe process as a rogue file program named Microsoft Security Adviser, which uses the name of the Microsoft Corporation to deceive such users into purchasing the said rogue security tool’s full version while attacking the computer system registry and other essential files and folders. The iau1.exe is implemented into the system without the user’s permission through downloading applications and software with Trojan infected codes that penetrates into the system. The Microsoft Security Adviser creates unwanted popups and error pages into the Web browser’s Home pages and redirects users into the malware author’s website. The users who believed on the legitimacy of this rogue security tool will officially download and install the program unknowingly of its malicious threats. The fake program usually sends users with warning and alert messages of detecting virus on the computer. If successfully installed into the system, iau1.exe process of the Microsoft Security Adviser launches instructions to not remove the thread, instead spams the system with warning messages and popup alerts until the users are lured to buy the full version of the program so that the unwanted spam of popups and alert messages will stop.
