This is why the iadhide4.dll module is also used and referenced by the firmware and driver software resources of certain hardware devices from diffrent product manufacturers, such as Compaq and Hewlett Packard. The BackWeb applet is integrated with a set of functionalities that allow the system and the associated firmware and driver software resources of supported hardware devices to automatically initiate contact with company Web servers in order to determine whether there are driver and firmware updates available for download. When updates are available, the BackWeb applet prompts the user for a set of actions, and the user can select from these options to either ignore the updates, or download and install the updates into the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. iadhide4.dll. is used by BackWeb, If you shut down iadhide4.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop iadhide4.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is BackWeb, from your system.
