The i-nav_4_1_4.dll dynamic link library is a malicious i-Nav Browser Helper Object (BHO) module that alters Web browser’s domain name settings by hosting harmful spyware, malware or virus into the user’s system. As an illegitimate BHO, i-nav_4_1_4.dll library file keys itself by using the i-Nav functions of navigating the Web browsers such as the Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer using the Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) to create undesirable pop-ups and desktop objects into the Home pages. This may replace an existing home page of the browser with an error page or a search page of its own. The i-nav_4_1_4.dll is referenced by the i-Nav software developed by the VeriSign plugin for Windows Internet Explorer to incorporate the malicious installation of additional virus, spyware, malware and popups that go inside the system through the illegitimate i-nav_4_1_4.dll BHO module. The i-nav_4_1_4.dll library file is implemented into the system as the BHO, in order to incorporate content of the threatening coponent into the of the i-Nav software and place its embedded set of actions into the Web Browsers specifically the Windows Internet Explorer.
