Known by the service name hpqwmi Module, the process hpqwmi.exe is an instance of an executable (EXE) file, and is a component of the program HP WMI Interface, also HP Pavillion of versions zv6000 User Guides, and dv4000 User Guides, or Tor Control Panel, or PolicyMake Standard Edition, or Adobe Photoshop Album, which is developed by Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P., otherwise known as Hewlett Packard Company, or HP Company. The hpqwmi.exe basically stands for Hewlett-Packard Windows Management Instrumentation Interface, which is an application related to hardware, and exclusively designed to provide more diagnostics for the different computers of or program pre-installed on HP. Therefore, hpqwmi.exe is an essential file of the software that houses it, and must not be stopped or terminated, to enable its particular function. In addition, this file is compatible with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, such as Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista, which are known products created by Microsoft Corporation.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hpqwmi.exe. is used by HP WMI Interface, If you shut down hpqwmi.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hpqwmi.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HP WMI Interface, from your system.
