The hoversnap.exe file is the process that belongs to the application HoverSnap created by HoverDesk. This program provides an icon on your taskbar. It uses a visible window. It can record keyboard inputs. It is not a core file for Windows. This process file has no digital signature. It aoutomatically runs on all users startup startmenu, running process or on current user startup startmenu. HoverSnap serves as screen capture utility that supports BMP, PNG, GIF and JPG. You can configure this application to take snapshots of a chosen area, the full screen or an active window. It also captures layered windows [alpha-blended ones on XP/2K systems]. This software is free for personal use. The hoversnap.exe file is the process that launches the main program HoverSnap. It lets you rename and resize the screenshot and save it to your chosen directory. It also has integrated FTP support and upload for layered windows. You can trigger screen captures through keyboard shortcuts.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hoversnap.exe. is used by HoverSnap, If you shut down hoversnap.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hoversnap.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is HoverSnap, from your system.
