What is  hooks.dll

The hooks.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is implemented by the Keycoder software, which is a keylogging application mostly used by a few financial institutions to analyze the password security systems they implement into their ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) and online banking platforms. Specifically, the Keycoder application is mainly used as a behavioral analytics tool by not only financial institutions, but also different organizations and institutions that operate in a wide variety of industries. Since DLL modules are files that can be simultaneously referenced by multiple applications, the hooks.dll file is also used by the GTCoach software from GTek Technologies Ltd.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hooks.dll. is used by Keycoder and GTCoach, If you shut down hooks.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
