Installing the software for Advanced Networking Service from Dell, will give users an application called Advanced Networking Service Application, which is loaded on the system through the file hnm_svc.exe. The software serves as a network assistant, which in turn features applications for accessing online storage, as well as control of the PC via remote set-up. The file hnm_svc.exe seems to be associated with the applications for online storage and remote control for one computer. The file has a default path of C:\Program Files\Dell Network Assistant\hnm_svc.exe. You will find that the file comes in various sizes, from as little as 81.5 KB to as large as 809.2 KB. Sizes vary based on the version of the installer. There were a number of users who reported that the hnm_svc.exe file that they got on their computers was malware, and not the legitimate application from Dell. Other than a few malware detections, the file and processes are considered safe.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hnm_svc.exe. is used by Advanced Networking Service Application, If you shut down hnm_svc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hnm_svc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Advanced Networking Service Application, from your system.
