The hddgmon.exe file is a process called HDDGMon that is used by the application Recovery Genius. This program uses an icon on the taskbar. It uses a visible window. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. The hddgmon.exe file can hide itself. Recovery Genius provides computer maintenance solutions. It is a software that enables protection of different partitions on a hard disk with the use of different protection modes. Each partition is capable of setting multiple recovery protection points. Recovery Genius version 6.1 is a software for home and enterprises. It provides real time recovery of your data and system. It lets your recover them after a system crash, loss of data or infection caused by viruses. This program completely removes junk virus files.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hddgmon.exe. is used by Recovery Genius, If you shut down hddgmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hddgmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Recovery Genius, from your system.
