The hamster.exe file is the process called Classic Hamster used by the application Classic Hamster developed by Jurgen Haible, Thomas G. Liesner and others. The program places an icon on the taskbar. It uses a visible window. It is not a system process. It can record inputs. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. Classic Hamster is a 32-bit Windows application that acts as local server for mail and news. It enables you to use mail and multiple news server and combine them into one for the news/mail-client. It loads faster than regular newsreader because it allows several threads to run simultaneously. It has a built-in script language, score file for mail and news and graphical user interface [GUI] that enables translation to other languages.
