Most reports by anti-virus programs and end users classify the gxho.exe file as malware. Microsoft identifies this file as Monitoring Tool:Win32/Ardamax. This process does not have a visible window. It appears as unknown file on Windows folder. It runs when you start Windows. The registry key for the process is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. It is a hidden stealth process. It hides itself, records inputs and monitors programs. Malware or malicious software is a program created to steal private or sensitive data, access private systems without the knowledge of the owner or to interrupt the normal operations of the target computer system. It can be in the form of scripts, software, active content or code. It is also referred to as intrusive or hostile software. Malware includes spyware, adware, Trojans, worms, viruses, rootkits, malicious BHOs, dialers, rogue security software and keyloggers among others. Malware is also known as computer contaminant.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gxho.exe. is used by Monitoring Tool:Win32/Ardamax, If you shut down gxho.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gxho.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Monitoring Tool:Win32/Ardamax, from your system.
