The file gjdrive32.exe, known as DCOM Manager, belongs to software DCOM Manager from an unknown developer. DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) is a set of Microsoft concepts and program interfaces in which client program objects can request services from server program objects on other computers in a network. In the SDK (Software Development Kit) documentation, the DCOM Permissions Manager is a collection of COM objects that allow the user to manipulate the security settings for DCOM applications. The DCOM security applications affecting the entire machine can be manipulated by this component, which could lead to unexpected results. Users of the DCOM Permission Managers should be familiar with the concept of AppIDs and COM security in general. DCOM comes as part of the Windows operating system, and will soon be available on all major UNIX platforms and on IBM's large server products. It is generally equivalent to the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) in terms of providing a set of distributed services.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gjdrive32.exe. is used by DCOM Manager, If you shut down gjdrive32.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gjdrive32.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is DCOM Manager, from your system.
