The process gidle.exe is an instance of an executable (EXE) file, and is a part of the program gAlwaysIdle, which is a type of program made for Gtalk, an instant messenger application by Google. gAlwaysIdle is a software product that helps a user stay idle all the time when logged on and using Gtalk. This becomes a very useful tool for a Gtalk messenger user to avoid some contacts from disturbing you. If the software is that essential to the user, gidle.exe is an important component that needs to remain active, stored and running in the background. In addition, gidle.exe is not just an executable file, but a vital part of the software that houses it, so it must not be terminated or stopped at all. Also, this file process is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gidle.exe. is used by gAlwaysIdle, If you shut down gidle.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop gidle.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is gAlwaysIdle, from your system.
