The frmwork32.exe file is the process called Logical Disk Manager component that is used by the application Logical Disk Manager for Windows NT developed by Microsoft Corporation and VERITAS Software. This is not a core file for Windows that means it is not required for the operating system to run. It is a non-system process originating from the software installed in the system. This program uses an icon on the taskbar. It is not a core file for Windows. This program sends or receives data to and from the Internet or LAN through open ports. The frmwrk32.exe process can monitor applications. The Logical Disk Manager component supports the Logical Disk Manager Driver. It supplies the machine.inf file that is the system-supplied information [INF] file for standard device. Local Disk Manager implements logical volume manager used for Microsoft Windows NT. MMC-based Disk Management [diskmgmt.msc] snap-in hosts this program. It is supported on Windows Vista, 7, 8, XP and Server 2003.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. frmwrk32.exe. is used by Logical Disk Manager, If you shut down frmwrk32.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop frmwrk32.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Logical Disk Manager, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as Logical Disk Manager, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application. Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
