Known as FolderSize Service as its service name, the foldersizesvc.exe file, which is a type of an executable (EXE) file, is a component of the application called Folder Size for Windows, which is created by Brio. The Folder Size for Windows program is designed and used to add a new column to the Details View in the Windows Explorer. As its label suggests, Folder Size for Windows is installable in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, so the file foldersizesvc.exe can run certainly in most versions of the Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, sometimes referred to as Windows operating systems, or Windows OS, which include Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME. It is essential to keep the foldersizesvc.exe file running, and must not be deleted or terminated, unless it is causing problems within the software, or in the performance of the computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. foldersizesvc.exe. is used by Folder Size for Windows, If you shut down foldersizesvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop foldersizesvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Folder Size for Windows, from your system.
