The file ewido.exe, known as ewido anti-spyware, belongs to software Ewido Anti-spyware by Anti-Malware Developments a.s. E-wido Anti-spyware is a complete security suite that offers protection in real-time against spyware, hackers, worms, dialers, Trojans, and utilities that save key strokes. The Resident shield feature scans file on execution, looks for malware in memory, and protects itself against attacks. In addition to real-time protection, this software offers updates and other privacy features such as the file shredder. Other features that are found in E-wido Anti-spyware include scheduled scan, running process manager and a new interface that features an LSP (Layered Service Provider) and BHO viewer. It scans inside archives, compressed executable, and NTFS alternate data streams, and includes the analysis of Windows security settings. The utility's main page displays program status with handy links for scanning the system, changing the settings, and updating anti-spyware definitions.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ewido.exe. is used by E-wido Anti-Spyware, If you shut down ewido.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ewido.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is E-wido Anti-Spyware, from your system.
