The file emailalarm.exe from Web.De is a safe process that sits in the task bar, and should not be removed if the user is a subscriber of Web.De mail and prefers to receive mail notifications. Email notification is software that alerts the user when an email arrives, which comes as a sound file or as an image in the system tray (systray), a popup window, or a combination of these. The monitoring application is left running in the background along with the email client which is set to check for new mail at regular intervals. When a new mail arrives, the monitoring program sends the message alert to the user.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. emailalarm.exe. is used by WEB-DE Club E-Mail Alarm, If you shut down emailalarm.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
