Em_exec.exe is the executable file that supports Logitech Mouse. It acts as the Logitech MouseWare Tray program graphical icon located on the desktop system tray. It enhances user control over the mouse functions while it provides quick access to the various mouse device settings. Em_exec.exe provides additional functions to the mouse trackball called the SmartMove, making it regarded as a total software program as it has a GUI for mouse settings adjustment features. Its program initialization consumes 37.8 kilobytes of. Disabling the process is preference of the user, as the program runs upon system startup. Terminating the application, however, causes malfunction of other related programs and of the device itself, and will affect mouse functions such as its buttons and trackball or wheel, especially if the mouse device is a current Logitech model. Thus users are strongly advised to have the program stay in the system and running in the background.
