The file elbycheck.exe, known as ElbyCheck, belongs to software elby CloneDVD by Elaborate Bytes AG. CloneDVD creates DVD backups from original copies, and allows the user to choose from the DVD contents the titles to copy. It employs a specialized transcoding technology that compresses long footages at high speed based on the target size and audio and language settings. An intuitive Filmstrip assistant guides the user through the different configuration settings, which enable even first time users to follow the procedures in choosing which content to copy and which parts are to be trimmed down. It can include a video preview that shows an overview of all selectable DVD titles, allows picture snapshots while transcoding and remixing, and enables the user to preview the movie during transcoding and writing. Clone DVD works with most DVD hardware and software and with DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW media.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. elbycheck.exe. is used by Clone DVD, If you shut down elbycheck.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop elbycheck.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Clone DVD, from your system.
